Job Search Resources

Quick link Job Board

Searching for a job is a process. It is more than just writing and mailing out a resume. You need to know what employers are seeking, and what your personal strengths and weaknesses are. You need to spend some time preparing to present yourself well to potential employers. And you need to spend some time identifying what your goals are so that you can find the right job to help you meet those goals. A recent survey (Veterinary Economics, Aug 2002, p.26) indicates that 60% of new graduates move to a second practice by two years. Only 5% stayed 5 or more years in their first position. You need to work hard at finding out if the practice you interview at is right for you -- not just if they will offer you a job. Consider the process a two way need to give and receive information. Good Luck!
