VM - 4 Curriculum

The fourth year is designed to be flexible and to provide for species emphasis.  Students must complete 38 credits during their fourth year.  They must take a required block and at least one option block.  The required block rotations are multi-species oriented and exist in all types of clinical practice.  The remainder of the fourth year credits can be acquired by selecting additional option blocks, Veterinary Medical Center clinical electives, off-campus clinical electives, or other electives.  One credit is earned for each full week of clinical participation.  Additional off-campus clinical elective credits can be earned at approved government agencies, research laboratories, veterinary practices, and other approved university hospitals.
