Class of 2004 Reunion
Saturday, June 21
Hello Class of 2004!
Can you believe we all graduated from vet school 10 years ago? Time flies when you’re having fun! Plans for our 10- year reunion are taking shape and we would love to see as many people as possible for some fun in Ames on June 21, 2014.
Though the main events are on Saturday, we will also host a social gathering on Friday night for anyone rolling into town early. Please open the registration form, complete the sign-up for events you will attend, and mail it in with a check by June 1. We are also putting together a memory book for life updates since graduation. Whether you can or cannot attend the reunion please open the memory book form, fill it out with as much or as little information as you would like others to know, and email it back by June 15.
If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to catching up with you soon!
Friday, June 20
Social Event at Snus Hill Winery
starting at 6pm
This will take place at Snus Hill Winery, a local winery southwest of Ames that has open space for gathering, a band playing from 6:30-9:30, drinks available for purchase, and catered meals offered at $10 per plate. Snus Hill Winery is located at 2183 320th Street, Madrid, Iowa 50156 (attached are maps showing a larger overview relative to Ames and a smaller detailed map). There is a sign for Tri-County Boarding Kennel at the intersection of Highway 210 and Violet Ave where you turn north to head to the winery, and then east on 320th. I will arrive by 6pm to stake out a spot for us and may even have an ISU CVM sign to mark the location. There is some seating available but you are welcome to bring bag chairs or blankets. You can also bring in your own food and non-alcoholic beverages if desired. Kids are welcome as well as anyone who didn’t RSVP to attend this but ends up getting to town early!
Saturday, June 21
Emma McCarthy Lee Park
lunch starting at 11am
This will take place at Emma McCarthy Lee Park’s Lower Butternut Shelter just south of Ross Road in west central Ames (a map is attached). We will have BBQ lunch, sides, cookies, and non-alcoholic drinks. You may bring your own alcoholic beverages in cans (no glass, kegs, or hard liquor allowed). Picnic tables are present at the shelter, a playground is nearby for kids, as well as open space, and trails through the woods.
Saturday evening, June 21
starting at 5pm
Enter through the east drive off of South 16th Street to park near the small animal clinic but please leave the closest parking spots open for clients. Our event will be in the Glass Hallway connecting the large and small animal hospitals. We will start CVM tours at 5pm (the renovated hospital is beautiful!), have a cash bar open from 5:30-7:30pm, and start the buffet dinner at 6:30pm.
