Recent Gift Announcements
- Trudy and Dr. Burton Gray, '43, established a chair in their names in the College of Veterinary Medicine. The chair will be funded by the remainder of a charitable remainder trust . Mrs. Gray receives income from the trust during her lifetime.
- Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc, with sites in St. Joseph, MO, Elwood, KS, Sioux Center, IA and Ames, IA, is funding two students through the summer mentoring program. Boehringer Ingelheim supports the students through annual funding honoring Dr. William Mengling.
- Dr. Kenneth Wilcke, '60, and wife Ruth, provided financial support for a suite of conference rooms located in Room 2272 Veterinary Medicine. The newly renovated area houses student services staff, the associate dean for academic and student affairs and four new student conference rooms.
The chair will ultimately contribute to the well-being of the human or animal populations in the area of veterinary medical science with preference for research and development of veterinary medico-legal needs, risk assessments, and veterinary medical public health. The College has two chairs currently held by faculty as well as a commitment of another chair in addition to the Gray Chair.
