2009 will be the third year that Iowa State veterinary students have participated in the Wildlife Immobilization and Conservation course offered by Brothers Safaris in South Africa.  The pre-departure course is taught by Dr. Charles Thoen and the South Africa portion of the course is taught by Dr. Peter Brothers.  To see an example of course itinerary and for more information on the course, please visit www.brotherssafaris.com.

The course on Wildlife Immobilization and Conservation gives veterinary students an opportunity to study a wide range of exotic animals in their natural habitats, something they are unable to do here in Iowa.
