Continuation Proposal Guidelines

(5-page maximum including title and all components)

   1. Project Title
   2. Names of investigator(s)
   3. Proposal Type: Continuation
   4. Funds requested for the next year
   5. Overall duration of the project (including starting year)
   6. Signatures of all investigators and respective Department Chair(s) (include date of signature)

Project Summary (200-300 word lay language summary of the project)

   1. Statement of the problem
   2. Hypothesis to be tested
   3. Experimental plan and expected results

Brief Statement of the problem addressed by the research

Progress-to-date on project (accomplishments over past funding period)

Plan for the next year

   1. Objectives (including specific aims to be addressed)
   2. Experimental approach
   3. Significance of the experimentation

Budget

   1. Single column budget
   2. Budget justification
   3. No indirect costs on ILHAC

Submit: Original and electronic copy as attachment to the Office of the Associate Dean for Research AND submit an electronic copy to: cvmres@iastate.edu
