Iowa Center for Advanced Neurotoxicology
Research Seed Funding Available from the Iowa Center for Advanced Neurotoxicology
The Iowa Center for Advanced Neurotoxicity (ICAN) at Iowa State University is pleased to announce the availability of new seed funding. A total of $100,000 is available to fund four to five research grants, depending upon the number, size and quality of proposals received. The competition is open to all ISU faculty. Deadline for submission of written research proposals is November 28, 2008.
Research that may be conducted under this funding opportunity is intended to promote, in a general way, the research goals of the Iowa Center for Advanced Neurotoxicology. These goals focus on the specialty areas of toxicology, neuroscience and related fields. Proposals should contain innovative ideas of high quality, foster multi-disciplinary team research, and be competitive for funding at the national level.
Attracting external federal funding is a key criterion for any proposal to be considered. Any project proposed must provide a multiplier effect whereby activities funded under this grant will generate new external funding for future ICAN exploration.
