Understanding what role various molecular genetic events in host defense repertoire development sculpts the innate and acquired immune systems leaving the host vulnerable through immunodominance and antigenic variation to repeated infection by class two pathogens, developing new technologies and strategies to circumvent these for the development of novel classes of immunobiotics and vaccines focused on the prevention of disease and translating these into viably products via a new academic- private-commerical model.
