Who We Are

Welcome!

We would like to welcome a new faculty member to our group, Dr. Dana LeVine!

Dr. LeVine joined ISU’s Small Animal Internal Medicine service as an assistant professor with a special interest in hematology. She received her DVM from Cornell University in 2004, completed a rotating small animal internship at the University of Georgia, followed by a combined internal medicine residency and PhD at North Carolina State University through their Clinician Investigator program. Her research focuses on immune-mediated thrombocytopenia in dogs. She plans to continue to combine clinical small animal medicine and research in veterinary hematology as a clinician-scientist at ISU. She looks forward to being a part of the Iowa veterinary community!

	Dr. Krysta Deitz DVM – University of Florida, 2002 Masters – Iowa State University, 2008 Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM), 2008 Special Interests: Dr. Deitz specializes in small animal internal medicine. Research interest includes genetic expression in canine thyroid tumors.
	Dr. Al Jergens DVM - Texas A&M University, 1983 Masters - Iowa State University, 1994 PhD – Immunobiology – Iowa State University, 2005 Diplomate, ACVIM, 1988 Special Interests: Dr. Jergens specializes in small animal internal medicine. His primary research areas of interests include gastrointestinal endoscopy, mucosal immunology, and inflammatory bowel diseases in dogs and cats.
	Dr. Robert King DVM - Washington State University, 1980 PhD – Washington State University, 1980 Diplomate, ACVIM, 1996 Special Interests: Dr. King specializes in small animal internal medicine with special interests and training in pulmonary medicine and cardiology.
	Dr. JoAnn Morrison DVM - Purdue University, 1993 Masters – Iowa State University, 2007 Diplomate, ACVIM, 2002 Special Interests: Dr. Morrison specializes in general internal medicine with special interest in endocrinology, hematology, and nutrition.
