Education Programs
The Wildlife Care Clinic staff regularly give Wildlife Education Programs for schools, community events, the Department of Natural Resources, and County Conservation offices. Programs are designed to meet the needs of the event.
We often share information concerning Iowa's native species by presenting our educational birds as examples. We stress that our educational birds are non-releasable but that the primary mission of the Wildlife Care Clinic is the rehabilitation and release of injured wildlife.
To illustrate the importance of wildlife, the WCC has non-releasable raptors that come to the education programs. The following birds are currently housed in the WCC and are available for programs:

Red-tailed Hawk

American Kestrel
Barred Owl
Great Horned Owl
In addition to presenting our raptors, we also present information about what we do in the clinic.
