Veterinary Ocular Histopathology - An Interactive Guide is an online self-study course derived from the ocular histopathology archives in the Department of Veterinary Pathology at Iowa State University, which includes signalment, histopathologic descriptions and images from over 100 cases of developmental, inflammatory and neoplastic diseases. It is composed of a text manual that describes various ocular lesions, a set of labeled photomicrographs illustrating these lesions and virtual slides that can be manipulated in a manner that simulates examination of glass slides on a microscope. The course is designed to be used by ophthalmology and pathology residents in the following manner: review of the text manual accompanied by examination of the cited figures and virtual slides.
Delivery: The guide and virtual slide software are delivered online.
Availability: The guide and virtual slides are available at any time during the active subscription.
Access: Access is granted via email after application and fee processing.

Dr. Haynes, a diplomate of the ACVP for 32 years, has taught in the veterinary curriculum at Iowa State University for 30 years. He has been involved with the Diagnostic Ocular Pathology Service at ISU for the past 15 years and, he has instructed ophthalmology and pathology residents in ocular pathophysiology and histopathology during that time.
