Dr. Berger says…
“The study of cancer biology is fascinating to me and the many ways that we can fight cancer by targeting certain aspects of its biology. We get to put that into practice every day in the clinic. I also enjoy research and am able to pursue many avenues, especially comparative oncology. The companion animal represents an excellent model for a variety of human diseases, so the opportunity to work on new ways to treat these diseases for both species is very rewarding.”
