Dr. Matthew Grisham

Dr. Grisham is a professor and chair of the Department of Immunology and Molecular Microbiology, and the Vernon and Elizabeth Haggerton Chair in Gastroenterology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He received his BS from the University of South Florida in 1975, and his PhD in biochemistry from Texas Tech in 1982. He did post-doc training in immunology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. His research focus in on defining the molecular, cellular and immunological mechanisms responsible for the chronic inflammation observed in animal models of diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
