Dr. Sherry Johnson (’12)
Since graduation in 2012, Dr. Sherry Johnson has been busy pursuing her passion in equine sports medicine. Dr. Johnson completed an internship at Equine Medical Center of Ocala followed by a residency in Equine Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation at Colorado State University. In 2019, she earned Diplomate status from the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation and is currently a PhD candidate at Colorado State University with research focus on novel rehabilitation modalities related to tendon healing. In 2018 she became a senior partner of Equine Sports Medicine, LLC, a mobile sports medicine practice dedicated to competing western performance horses where the practice serves as the official veterinarians of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) World Shows. She is also a senior partner and the managing veterinarian of the affiliated rehabilitation center in Whitesboro, Texas (Equine Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation), and a partner and co-founder of Equine CORE, Inc. (eCORE), a telemedicine company offering national and international equine tele-rehabilitation services.
