Past Experience
Following graduation with her DVM, Dr. Righi completed an equine internship at Steinbeck Peninsula Equine Clinics, then spent a year as an associate at a large animal ambulatory practice in Southern California. Her growing interest in food animal medicine led her to pursue a food animal internship at Oklahoma State University, where she then completed a residency in large animal internal medicine.

Specialty Area
Dr. Righi’s clinical background is rooted in food animal medicine, and her professional interests also include bovine sports medicine, neurology, and soft tissue surgery.

Interesting Fact
Originally from Orange County, California, Dr. Righi grew up horseback riding and showing livestock. During her time in Oklahoma, she served as an on-site veterinarian for numerous PBR and PRCA events, including providing veterinary care during the production of a rodeo-based feature film.

Dr. Righi says…
“I enjoy the challenge of livestock medicine, where each case requires piecing together a complex medical puzzle. Equally rewarding is teaching the next generation of veterinarians. I am passionate about helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to work successfully with livestock.”
