The ISU VDL offers parasitology services including routine fecal flotation, quantitative flotation (McMaster’s and Modified Wisconsin), fecal sedimentation, and parasite ID services for ectoparasites. This performed through the CVM Parasitology Laboratory.
Telephone consultation with a VDL pathologist prior to submission may be useful to determine which tests to request, particularly if a large number of samples will be submitted or if the diagnostic investigation is complex.
