The Wildlife Care Clinic staff regularly gives Wildlife Education Programs for schools, community events, the Department of Natural Resources, and County Conservation offices. Programs are designed to meet the needs of the event.
We often share information concerning Iowa's native species by presenting our educational birds as examples. We stress that our educational birds are non-releasable but that the primary mission of the Wildlife Care Clinic is the rehabilitation and release of injured wildlife.
To illustrate the importance of wildlife, the WCC has non-releasable raptors that come to the education programs. The following birds are currently housed in the WCC and are available for programs:
In addition to presenting our raptors, we also present information about what we do in the clinic.
How to Schedule a Program
The Wildlife Care Clinic offers educational programs to schools, organizations, and local communities. Through these educational programs, our educated staff will come and present to your group with a variety of different raptor species. We are fairly flexible with scheduling and well versed in a variety of topics related to wildlife, rehabilitation, and conservation.
Wildlife Educational Programs are our largest fundraiser, and an easy way to help wildlife by also getting a rare and fun experience!
To schedule a program, please contact us through email at email@example.com or by phone at 515-294-4009.
