Students attending Experience Iowa State (EIS)
The College of Veterinary Medicine offers a 30-minute information session at 2:30 pm and an hour-long tour at 3 pm for prospective high school students considering a pre-vet course of study during Experience Iowa State. Individuals wishing to attend these sessions and tours should register at the Vet Med booth when they arrive on campus in the morning.
If you haven’t already, please register for an Experience Iowa State (EIS) in addition to our registration form so you can experience central campus and the undergraduate experience. Please note that there are dates intended for admitted students rather than prospects which can only be attended if you’ve accepted your offer to Iowa State.

Tours are for prospective students who are 13 years or older since Patterson Hall (the College of Veterinary Medicine) is an educational and medical facility. Tours include various classrooms and associated technology within Patterson Hall, and the Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center (small and large animal hospitals). While a tour of the College of Veterinary Medicine is not appropriate for young, school-aged children, there is a lot to discover at Iowa State University including the ISU Farms.
If you wish to inquire about a large group tour for your students, please contact futuredvm@iastate.edu.
These tours do not offer a 30-minute information session prior to the one-hour tour.
