Dr. Qijing Zhang, Frank K. Ramsey Endowed Chair in Veterinary Medicine, has been named interim associate dean for research and graduate studies for the College of Veterinary Medicine, effective January 15. Dr. Zhang, a professor of veterinary microbiology, replaces Dr. Lisa K. Nolan who served as associate dean prior to accepting the position of dean at the college.

Nominations are open for the College of Veterinary Medicine Stange and Switzer awards. The Stange Award is the highest recognition given to ISU veterinary alumni. It recognizes outstanding professional achievements in education, government, industry, practice or other professional endeavors in veterinary medicine.

2011 VCS Incentive Grants

The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences is pleased to announce 2010 VCS Research Incentive Grant Awards. The purpose of the VCS Incentive Grants program is to provide seed funds for pilot clinical studies and crucial data for larger extramural grants. VCS investigators submitted proposals to investigate important clinical disorders affecting dogs, cats, horses, and exotic livestock.
