What is Zoological Medicine?
Zoological medicine is the care of zoo animals, wildlife, aquatic animals, and non-domestic companion animals, just to name a few.
Who treats zoo animals?
In addition to being a primary care clinician at LVMC, Dr. Olds is also the veterinarian at Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines. This gives students a great opportunity to learn more about treating animals in this field, ranging from lions to seals, and anything in between.
