CVM Students Among AASV Scholarship Recipients

 

Several College of Veterinary Medicine students were among recipients of scholarships from the American Association of Swine Veterinarians for their oral or poster presentations at the 47th Annual AASV Meeting.

Christine Mainquist-Whigham, VM4, received the $5000 scholarship for the top student oral presentation for her work, “Residue Depletion Profile of Ampicillin Trihydrate in Cull Sows.”

Other oral presentation scholarship recipients were Holly Salzbrenner, VM1; Victoria Foerster, VM3; Scott Radke, VM4; and Brent Sexton, VM2.

Three CVM students were among winners of the poster competition including second year students T’Lee Girard and Megan Pieters and third-year student Kara Telfer.
