Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care has established a Triage Status System for patient acceptance to maintain the high standard of care clients and referring veterinarians have come to expect.
The decision to begin using this system was a challenging one for everyone involved.
Redirecting a client and their pet is a decision made only as a last resort, and only when the LVMC medical team determines they are unable to provide safe and effective care due to capacity constraints.
Triage status may change frequently and is updated every 15 minutes– please call 515-294-4900 for the most up-to-date status.
