Five Recognized with CVM Alumni Awards

Five individuals were recognized during Homecoming with College of Veterinary Medicine alumni and service awards on Friday, Oct. 2.

CVM awards recipients are:

• Stange Award for Meritorious Service
  • Dr. Jennifer Schleining (’01), clinical professor and head of the Department of Large Animal Sciences, Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Additional information 
• William P. Switzer Award
  • Dr. Jared Danielson (posthumously), former senior associate dean for academic and student programs, success and innovation. Additional information
  • Dr. Randy Wheeler (’77), executive director, Iowa Veterinary Medical Association. Additional information
• Lorraine J. Hoffman Graduate Alumni Award
  • Dr. John Vahle (PhD ’96), senior research fellow and vice president of toxicology and pathology, Eli Lilly & Company. Additional information
• Outstanding Young Alumni Award
  • Dr. Lisa Uhl (’18), clinical assistant professor of veterinary pathology. Additional information
