According to “CHIPS and Science Act of 2022”, it is required Covered individuals to complete Research Security Training (RST) prior to proposal submission, this RST requirement flow down to ISU’s subrecipients as well. DOE‘s effective date is May 1, 2025; NSF‘s effective date is October 10, 2025. However, DOD, HHS (PHS/NIH/etc.), NASA and USDA have not yet implemented their RST requirement.

This training can be met by completing a on-demand research security training course available in Workday Learn. Researchers need to complete one of the courses below.
