Life-Long Advocate
Dr. Bob Bashara (’63) has long had a passion for animal welfare. Throughout his career, the Omaha-based small animal practitioner has worked with clients to educate them on the benefits of spay/neuter and well-pet care. That passion ultimately led him to serve as the chief financial officer of the Doris Day Animal Foundation. Now the AVMA has recognized Bashara’s life-long advocacy and will present its Animal Welfare Award to him this summer at the organization’s annual meeting in Denver. Learn more about Bashara’s commitment to educate the world’s pet owners about spay and neuter programs in this Gentle Doctor feature.
