Fearless Leader

Dr. Bob Freese ('87)
When he was in the ninth grade, Bob Freese was hit by a car. He didn't wake up for hours and when he did, he had a concussion, broken teeth and a leg that ultimately needed to go in a full cast. That accident changed his life. Athletics were out due to his injuries and Freese got a job at a dog kennel owned by a veterinarian. "I took that job because I was out of sports...It wasn't a vet clinic by any means, but it kind of gave me an idea," he said. That idea eventually became a career in veterinary medicine at the Indianola Veterinary Clinic where he retired this past summer.
