Applying to veterinary school wasn't Logan McQuillen's original plan in college. "It was kind of a last-second decision," he said. "I was looking in the direction of physical therapy and human medicine, but I enjoyed being outside and doing that kind of route. Toward the end of my studies, I looked to see if I could still get into veterinary medicine and it ended up that I just needed to take a couple of classes to choose that route instead." After graduating from Iowa State, McQuillen was hired at Rolling Hills Veterinary Services in Cascade, Iowa.
