Like Father, Like Son

It's not uncommon for a son to follow in his father's career footsteps. However, for Michael Wolfe and his dad, the similarity of their career paths has an uncanny twist. Fresh out of Iowa State, Michael recently joined the staff at Eastside Animal Center in Gothenburg for his first job in full-time veterinary practice. Ironically, 30 years ago his father, Jay, did the very same thing. The elder Wolfe later relocated to another veterinary clinic. "My dad sent me the listing for this job when he was at a veterinary meeting and I didn't really think much of it at the time," Michael said. "I applied to a bunch of different places, but I can here and I liked it. I liked the people and the town, and it seemed like a good place to be so here we are!"
