Passionate about Agriculture

Dr. Shamus Brown (DVM ’13) knows about the issues and challenges that affect agriculture. The veterinarian won the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation’s (IFBF) Young Farmer Discussion Meet and represented Iowa at the Young Farmer and Rancher (YF&R) National Discussion Meet. “I’m passionate about the agriculture industry and particularly the swine industry,” Brown writes. “I appreciate the opportunities and background that the College of Veterinary Medicine provided me as it has contributed to me being well-rounded and able to compete in an event like this.”
