Following in His Dad's Footsteps

For the first time in 60 years, there won't be a Dr. Brennan at the Indianola Veterinary Clinic. Brian Brennan has retired after 30 years of practicing there. He joined the staff in 1992 as the successor for his father, the late Dr. Joe Brennan, who also worked at the clinic for three decades. For "as long as I can remember," the younger Brennan knew he'd follow in his dad's footsteps. That is, unless he could find a job in outer space. "I was always going to be an astronaut or a veterinarian," Brian said. "That astronaut thing never worked out."
