Dr. Mark Lyte, professor of veterinary microbiology and preventive medicine and the W. Eugene Lloyd Chair in Toxicology, will be a speaker featured at the upcoming National Academies of Science workshop.
Lyte will speak on "Microbial Endocrinology as a Theoretical Framework with Which to Interrogate the Microbiome-Gut-Brain Axis in Health and Disease." The workshop aims to explore interconnecting systems along the gut-brain axis and biotechnologies that are being used to examine the interconnections.
The workshop will be held December 15-16 in Washington, D.C. and virtually.
