To have an engaged, diverse and supportive student body.

Key Measures

  • The DVM program must be able to demonstrate that the resources are sufficient to achieve the stated educational goals for all veterinary students.
  • All students must have direct experiences with veterinarians who are in post-DVM programs, including internships and residencies, to provide understanding of these career paths.
  • Student support services must be available, accessible, and publicized.
  • The College must notify students and provide a mechanism for them to offer anonymous suggestions, comments and complaints.

Strengths

  • Students have an opportunity to participate in a variety of both formal and informal research related activities including the Summer Scholars Program.
  • The College and University have invested in a variety of mental health and physical health initiatives.
  • Student study spaces have been upgraded throughout the CVM complex.
  • Students are engaged in every aspect of the College mission from educational (tutors), service (student workers) and research (summer research programs).
  • There are more than 45 student organizations in the College.
