Jeff Reiswig DVM, PhD, FAVD/Eq, Dipl.AVDC/Eq

Dr. Reiswig is the owner of Equine Veterinary Dental Services in central Ohio. He is a Fellow in the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry/Equine and has Diplomate status with board certification in equine dentistry with the American Veterinary Dental College/Equine. In addition to equine practice, Dr. Reiswig’s professional interests include providing quality dental education for Equine Veterinarians and enhancing equine dental research.


Equine Dental Radiography

This lecture will discuss appropriate oral and extraoral techniques and positions to obtain quality dental images with limited summation of skull structures. We will also discuss image interpretation and case examples to emphasis critical points. (1 Credit Hour)

Dental and Skull Anatomy for Advanced Oral Extraction Techniques

How comfortable are you identifying the dental hard tissues on the coronal surface of a cheek tooth? How many infundibulate are there in a cheek tooth? Where is that papilla for the parotid gland duct anyway? These are concepts to know to be successful with advanced oral extraction techniques. (1 Credit Hour)

Advanced Oral Extraction Techniques

What is the next step after an oral extraction failure or when a tooth crown fractures during an extraction? This lecture will describe the advanced oral extraction techniques of crown odontoplasty, tooth sectioning and minimally invasive transbuccal extraction of horse cheek teeth. (1 Credit Hour)
