Class-Specific Town Hall Meetings

Dear ISUCVM Students of the Classes of 2022, 2023, and 2024,

I hope you are all doing very well, and excited for your return (Classes of 2022 and 2023), and arrival (Class of 2024) to the ISUCVM. We are excited to see you! We are excited about the way the building has changed, and I’m sure you will be too. The Fish Tank lobby and Commons are new and improved, the Library is looking great, and Classroom 2532 is undergoing a substantial expansion . . .) As you know from prior communication, the curriculum will also be somewhat different from prior years, in order to accommodate required health and safety measures due to COVID-19. In order to make sure you are ready to be in the right “place” at the right “time” for each class (including those that will occur virtually), we will be holding a town hall meeting next week for each of your classes. You each should have received an individual appointment invitation to each meeting. As a reminder, those meetings will be held at the following times and Zoom locations. Please only attend the town hall meeting for your class.

  • VM1 – August 11th, 2:00 PM CT LINK
  • VM2 – August 12th, 3:00 PM CT LINK
  • VM3 – August 13th, 2:00 PM CT LINK

Those meetings will be led by our Year Coordinators: Dr. Rowe (Year 1), Dr. Brown (Year 2) and Dr. Carnevale (Year 3). They will make sure you understand the course calendar, know how to navigate your first week, and answer any questions you may have. Staff from OASA and OCATS will also be there to answer questions and provide insight. The meetings will be recorded for those who are unable to attend synchronously.

See you on Zoom!

Kind regards,

Jared Danielson, PhD
Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs
